Laying the Groundwork for a Large Home Extension
For this project, we teamed up with a fantastic local builder as subcontractors to help get a large house extension off the ground. Before any new building could start, we stepped in to safely handle the demolition of the original part of the house. The biggest hurdle we faced on this job was the incredibly tight space. All of our materials and waste had to be carefully moved up and down a very narrow, shared access alleyway. But as we always say, where there is a will, there is a way!
Once the site was safely cleared, we dug and poured the necessary foundations. Because the access was so restricted, we brought in a concrete pump to get the pour done smoothly and efficiently. We also took care of the vital underground work, correctly connecting the foul and rainwater pipes from the new extension straight into the existing drainage runs. To finish off our side of the project, we prepped the over site and laid a solid stoned area, leaving the space perfectly ready for a future patio installation.
